Frederick Charles Awcock

The son of Peter and Jane Awcock, who lived at 1 York Villas, Chertsey Road Addlestone, Frederick Joined the 5th Battalion of the North Staffordshire Regiment as Private 42020.

On the 24th October 1918, just 17 days before the war ended, Frederick died and is buried in Sarralbe Military Cemetery in France. He was 24 years old.

As well as the St Augustine's memorial, he is also commemorated on the Victory Park gates in Addlestone and the St Paul's church memorial in Addlestone.
