Harry William Basson
Born in Chertsey, Surrey; Harry married a girl by the name of Maude and they lived in Simplemarsh Road, Addlestone.
Whilst in London, on an unknown date in 1914, Harry Enlisted in the Royal Field Artilery as Driver 26589 and was sent to France on 23 August 1914. When in France Harry was engaged in Base Details, at Le Havre, and it was here that he fell ill and died of Valvular Disease of the Heart on 25 November 1916. Harry was 36 years old when he died and is buried in St Marie Cemetery in Le Havre.
