Lawrence Francis Burgess
I know little about Lawrence except that prior to the war he was a player and the Hon' Secretary of St Augustine's Church Football team of 1903/04 and later married Ethel Leigh Burgess.

It was in Dorking that Lawrence enlisted in the Surrey (Queen Mary's Regiment) Yeomanry as Private 2384 and on 26th January 1915, at the age of 28, he died whilst on home service. Lawrence is buried in Addlestone cemetery.
